Training and experience

My path to medicine has included clinical trials, qualitative research, patient storytelling, AmeriCorps service, and medical training. Psychiatry, behavior change, preventive medicine, and medical humanities remain important areas of interest.

Funded autoethnographic project

Examining eating, exercise, solitude, and identity during independent travel in Japan. The work is being developed for conference presentation and journal submission.

What keeps life interesting

Health is shaped by more than what happens in a clinic. Outside school, I run and lift, appreciate art—especially contemporary art—and collect vintage clothing. I also enjoy creative writing through my personal newsletter and stay involved in service through CAMP, Best Buddies, and MDurance, where I serve as treasurer.

I value challenge, friendship, curiosity, and time outside—and after clinical year, I’m hoping to welcome a dog or cat into the mix.
